Al Sigl Center Building 10
When the Al Sigl Center purchased an abandoned power plant from the former Rochester Psychiatric Center, they knew that they had a special building to add to their expanding facilities. At the request of the donor, a wood-framed house was relocated to the site and situated to form a new courtyard. In order to link Building 10 to the courtyard and the rest of the campus, we designed a new entry pavilion as the focal point. A floor was added in the large volume of Building 10 and offices on that floor take advantage of the original steel trusses and revitalized clerestory.
Winner of AIA Rochester Design Citation - 2008.
