The movement to decentralize hospital functions to suburban locations has provided an improved patient experience that is less stressful with simplified building access, a more relaxed environment, and is cost effective. This movement has resulted in new modern suburban treatment centers for orthopedics, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, testing and screening, cancer treatment, ambulatory surgery centers, and specialty/primary physician office space.
