Adaptive Re-Use :

Adaptive reuse is a dialog between past and present with an eye on the future.

Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School

Rochester, NY

This project was centered around the symbolic and physical transformation of the divinity school leaving its home of over a century. The design focused on the adaptive re-use of space to create a new campus where students and faculty could engage in the Rochester community. The existing loading dock was transformed into the school’s new chapel. The addition of skylights fill their space with natural light.

BIG IDEA

The new space embraces the legacy of the school and supports its growth, while proving it is not restricted to a specific space.
