Trevor Harrison
Managing Partner, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
As a founding partner of HBT Architects, Trevor Harrison brings over 25 years of experience in all phases of design and construction to each project that he manages. Trevor manages key firm clients in areas such as hospitality, colleges/universities, and medical. His creative and solid approach to project management and client satisfaction are evident in the many successful projects and satisfied clients working with the firm.

James Tripp
Partner, AIA, CSI, NCARB, LEED AP
James Tripp brings over 25 years of both hands-on construction and design experience to all projects at HBT Architects. Mr. Tripp has served as project manager on numerous educational and hospitality projects offering unique and creative architectural design solutions. His background and training in building technology adds insight and value to the construction administration process.

Kate Anderson
Partner, AIA, LEED AP
Kate Anderson has over 30 years of experience in designing and executing architectural spaces that are efficient and energizing. Kate works with clients to understand, develop and implement creative solutions that support and enhance the user experience. Her spatial design and adaptive reuse of existing structures have produced fiscally responsible, engaging and award-winning interiors.

Jim Argenta
Partner, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
Jim Argenta has over 15 years of experience working on a wide variety of project types and managing all aspects of the design and construction administration process. He has managed multiple award-winning projects and is committed to providing high-quality personalized architectural design that complements its owners and honors its environment.

Rebecca Barone
Partner, Architect, AIA
As a licensed architect with a strong focus on design and project visualization, Rebecca brings extensive experience to each project she is involved in, including providing design services on various award winning and nationally published projects. At HBT Rebecca is involved in many of the firms most notable projects.

Michael Prattico
Partner, Architect, AIA, LEED AP
Mike brings to each project a strong repertoire of design skills, technical knowledge, and client service grounded in his 15 years’ experience in both Rochester and Boston. His passion and focus is higher education projects, enjoying the wide variety of program, building types, and range of stakeholders’ input. Mike’s thorough approach to each project is to deliver thoughtful and pragmatic ideas at all levels of design, regardless of program, scope, or budget.

Scott Hemenway
Associate, AIA, LEED AP
Scott has over 30 years of experience in architectural and project programming, planning, design, production, and project administration for a wide range of types of projects. Included in this range of projects, Scott has been the Project Architect for many of the firm’s key projects in practice areas such as college and universities and healthcare. Recent projects include the Guthrie Corning MOB, Pittsford Spiegel Community Center, RIT CHST, and RRH Rochester Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Mary Beth Arnold
Office Manager
Mary Beth developed a depth of customer service experience in the hospitality and airline industries. The administrative skills developed in this work have directly impacted the efficiency and management of the office. Her many responsibilities range from general client services, human resources and weekly/ monthly bookkeeping duties.

Amber Barnhart-Rau
Intern Architect
Amber received her Bachelors of Architecture with a minor in Construction Management from Alfred State College in 2018. While at Alfred she placed third as part of the design/build team at the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 1 Competition. At HBT, Amber combines her technical understanding and design sensibilities to inform all phases of project development - from concept design to construction documentation and observation.

Madalyn Button
Intern Architect, LEED AP, Associate AIA
Maddy is a graduate of the Masters of Architecture program at RIT and Bachelors of Architectural Technology program at Alfred State College. She is a LEED accredited professional focusing on healthcare design with a passion for improving the patient experience. She is an effective communicator with both the client and project team, ensuring clients goals are understood and exceeded.

Donna Christidis
Controller
Donna joined HBT Architects in 2006 as a Controller and brings accounting and auditing experience in various fields as well as solid business knowledge. Donna is a Certified Public Accountant and manages all financial, forecasting and reporting aspects of the firm and assists with business decisions. She also manages various human resource requirements.

Cameron Cunneyworth
Architect
Cameron joined HBT Architects soon after graduation from the Syracuse University B.Arch program. He works to provide design solutions on a wide array of hospitality, commercial and institutional projects. He believes that carefully considered design can improve and enhance the built environment for the benefit of all. Cameron brings that mindset to every project and aims to deliver thoughtful and pragmatic ideas at all levels of design and construction.

Kelsey DeBree
Interior Designer
Kelsey received her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2016. Prior to working at HBT, she gained a wide range of experience as an intern in New York City designing LEED-certified office interiors. At HBT, Kelsey has worked on numerous projects with a focus on healthcare design. She uses her creativity to design spaces that are functional, healing and comfortable for both users and clients.

Ryan DeBree
Intern Architect
Ryan graduated from SUNY Alfred State with a Bachelor of Architecture and minor in Graphic Design and Communication. Ryan looks forward to utilizing his curiosity and experimentation to solve problems and create innovative and functional design solutions. He enjoys collaborating with colleagues in the planning and architecture fields, bringing concepts to reality through design. With a background in research and design, it is his objective to deliver sustainable and resilient solutions to all aspects of a project.

Jaime DeJesus
Intern Architect
Jaime earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico in 2017. He brings to HBT his vast experience in the hospitality industry, having contributed to the design and development of 10-plus extended stay hotels around Michigan. With a strong technical knowledge, Jaime focuses on the constructability of designs, from their early stages all the way through the complete development of projects.

Joseph Ferreri
Intern Architect
Joseph earned his Bachelors of Architectural Technology with a minor in Business at Alfred State College in 2019. Before coming to HBT he gained a wide variety of experience as an intern in Rochester working on retail design projects. Joseph is looking forward to pairing his experience and education to generate practical yet pleasing design solutions for any client.

Justin Hildreth
Architect, CDT
Justin Hildreth brings 10 years of design experience to HBT providing experience in healthcare, higher education, and multi-site retail design projects. Justin focuses on creating experiences that are enjoyable for all involved in the process. He focuses on client satisfaction through effective communication and quality project documentation throughout the design and construction processes.

Kate Holevinski
Architect, AIA
Kate is a registered architect with a specialty in healthcare design. She is adept at navigating complex programmatic and operational requirements to generate custom solutions for her clients’ specific operational needs, and she has extensive experience leading Article 28 projects through the Certificate of Need process. Kate’s objective in each project is to seamlessly guide each project through the development, construction, and regulatory processes and ultimately deliver a product which improves the experience of her clients within their workplace.

Angelina Kapcinski
Interior Designer
Angelina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and a minor in communications from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2017. At HBT Angelina has worked on a wide range of projects including hospitality and higher education, with a focus on corporate design. Angelina’s career has allowed her to combine her outgoing personality and creative thinking with her passion for design. Angelina seeks to create environments that are grounded by both function and aesthetics, and that ultimately positively impact the lives of others.

Kirstin Labita
Project Manager/ Interior Designer, NCIDQ, LEED AP
Kirstin has 20 years of experience in retail, corporate and higher education. Her expertise stretches from conceptual design through to construction documentation as well as project management. Kirstin’s talents and vision allow a collaborative process with clients to fulfill their project vision.

David Matthews
Architect, AIA, LEED AP
David brings a wide range of experience in design, project management and construction to HBT. His past project involvement includes commercial, institutional, municipal, multifamily, restaurant and custom residential. His professional career includes 14 years in Phoenix, Arizona and 12 years in Western New York. David spent two years in the field as a Construction Supervisor and is grounded in the ever-changing dynamic of sustainable building.

Ryan Williams
Architect, AIA, CSI, CDT
Ryan has experience with project management, design, and visualization in project types such as laboratory, office, and hospitality. This, combined with his leadership in B.I.M. and I.T., attests to his flexibility at HBT. He forges ahead with new technologies, experiences, and design approaches with an urge to constantly expand his, and the firm’s, capabilities. Ryan believes that attentive communication, and quality document production are essential to the continued success of client goals.
